Salil Sukhumvit Soi Thonglor 1 Hotel Bangkok
Howdy Readers!
Does any of you will travel to Bangkok and need a cozy-comfort place to stay at the heart of the city? Perhaps I could tell you a bit about the hotel we chose for our visit last time.
The choice was Salil Sukhumvit Soi Thonglor 1 Hotel Bangkok. Even it is categorized as a mid-range hotel but thanks to www.agoda.com we had a good price (yippie!!). Oftentimes checking on OTA was paid off 😅
If you wonder why we preferred Sukhumvit which is known as an exclusive district in Bangkok, instead of the famous Khao San Road?
That's because Salil Sukhumvit Soi Thonglor 1 Hotel locates just a short walk to the main Sukhumvit road and Thonglor BTS sky train station. Which unfortunately Khao San Road is not. Whereas we plan to optimize using public transportation like a train for strolling around the city. The way I understand, using a bus in Bangkok is not as comfortable as a bus in Singapore. As for taxi, even it is a metered taxi, don't be surprised if the driver insists on giving us a fixed rate. Speaking of experience usually, they implied because they knew we are a visitor 😔

Even Sukhumvit is surrounded by fancy malls and business hotels, it still a well placed to explore the city has to offer.
Small dining room with assorted menus. The interior design reminds me of colorful Greece |
And yes that's how the hotel is. After hop out from BTS at Thonglor sky station on Sukhumvit main road. We turned to a side road and walked for about 5 minutes. We passed apartments and few fancy restaurants before we turn to a smaller road, not an alley though, and keep walking along the side before we found the Salil signboard.
The further we walked from the main road, the less we heard the hustle noise. Which were affirming that the hotel is offering the convenient place for our sleep during this trip.
I was fully relying on the website when chose this boutique hotel. All promises written on the page is for real, alhamdulillah. The services were good. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Food is acceptable. No wonder Salil Soi 1 with 40 rooms of Superior, Premier and Deluxe receiving good rating and impressions from Trip Advisor.
Superior Twin Bed with extra bed for 4 of us 😁 |
Convy green large sofa at the reception. Feel like your own living room |
Free wifi and computer desk station at the lobby |
Bookshelf with variants books and DVD movies. You could borrow and enjoy them at your room |

Ada biaya tambahankah kalau mau pinjam buku atau DVD? Sepertinya asyik malam hari, nonton film setelah keliling Bangkok.
ReplyDeleteNope. They are provided for free. Cukup lapor ke resepsionis, nanti dicatet, kita pinjem buku/film judul apa, penghuni kamar nomor berapa. Waktu pengembalian saat check-out.
DeleteNice picts, but I missed you on everyone of them ;)
ReplyDeleteNasip tukang motret; invisible on every picts. Semoga bisa diimprove, next time kalo jalan-jalan juga ada gambar aku :)
DeleteIn my impression this hotel is sweet, family friendly, and beautiful as photos background. Then indeed agree if "Kakak" chose it. I, too, if offered where to stay in Bangkok would also pick this
ReplyDeleteThe color tone is kind of feminine ^_^
DeleteWooooww.. kamarnya gede banget. Bisa untuk keluarga..
ReplyDeleteWarna2 yang ada di penginapannyapun soft ya,lucuk
Lumayan, bisa utk family. Jadi bisa umpel-umpelan tidurnya hehehe
DeleteYup, there are many aspects we have to consider before choosing the right hotel. Public transportation is one of them that I consider the most after the price of the hotel :)
ReplyDeleteCan't agree more, Kaka Darius ^_^
DeleteYa ampun hotelnya cantik pisan, IG able hihi...good choice..

DeleteWaw, hotelnya cantik banget Kak. Itu dekorasi ruang makannya keren deh. Ku suka.
ReplyDeleteHotelnya nggak besar dan comfy. Dekorasi ruang makannya dominasi warna meditarian, cheerful tapi adem.
Deleteaih bikin betah... suasananya nyaman n desainnya manis
